Trail Ride Meeting Spots Friday

All riders can meet us at Grassroots Cycles at 401 Colorado Ave in Grand Junction under the big yellow awning at 10am Friday morning, or at the Lunch Loop Trail Head Parking lot around 10:30am.

And if you’re not quick enough to make any of those times, then hang out in the parking lot until we come around again! Look for the 15 passenger ‘convertible’ van! And bring your cameras! And water. And sun tan lotion.

SlopeSistair Supper

Friday night, for everyone who has already arrived in Grand Junction, there will be a Slope Sistair supper downtown after the trail shuttles! Dolce Vita and Nepal restaurant (Indian and Nepalese cuisine) have both been recommended by local riders. Please email your preferences or other special requests to: snychka@gmail.com.

Event Information

SCHEDULE:

FRIDAY
11am- 5pm Guided runs to Lunchloop, Ribbon, Freelunch, etc.

• We will be set up at the lunch loop trailhead. Grassroots will be running shuttle service all day in their convertible 15 passenger van. Please bring donations for gas money!

SATURDAY
10am- 2pm Women’s skills camp at The Ranch

• Bring your pads and full face (recommended). If you don’t have all the gear you need, stop by Grassroots bike shop to be taken care of!
• Cost will be $50. Pack a lunch.

2pm- 6pm Slopestyle practice

SUNDAY
9:00-11:00am Slopestyle practice
12:30pm Pro slopestyle event

• A slopestyle course offering a combination of jumps, drops, gaps, hips, and wall rides.
• This is a rider judged jam session. Entry fee is $55.

BUNKING/CAMPING:

All female riders/participants are welcome to share floor space and amenities in the beautiful ranch home built by Grassroots own Matt Bolin. On site camping is also available for riders & their families and friends on a first come basis. Cost will be $15/ person for each night spent in the cabin, or $25 to pitch a tent at the ranch for the entire weekend. Space is limited. All proceeds will go to the Pro Purse for the slopestyle event.

*Sorry, no dogs & NO open fires or smoking! It’s a dry area, and we aren’t going to take any chances. Thanks for your cooperation!

Party Time!

So for all of you girls who are a little bit nervous to compete, or you just don’t want to have a huge crowd- this event is for you!

SSIII has become a more intimate affair after requests to host a smaller spectating posse. Grass Roots, and a hand-selected support team will be on hand to help with course modifications, judging, coaching, and registration. Men over 6′0, approximately 200lbs with a golden tan and an uncanny riding ability can qualify to fill left over positions. Please email snychka@gmail.com to apply.

• You won’t have to worry about 58 unidentified public looking on while you attempt to hit the step down or 30 foot double, ride the wall or session the dual slalom course

In addition, we are opening up the use of the ranch to all women (first come, first serve) who can’t, or don’t want to fly with their tent, sleeping bag and air mattress.
